Kapiti Off Grid

Kapiti is an area of the lower North Island of New Zealand and is where myself and my partner have recently bought land, in order to build a low/off-grid home.

This Wiki will serve as a repository for research and information into our search for low energy and low environmental impact systems of eating, drinking, sheltering, heating and cleaning (and anything else essential to daily life that I might've forgotton!).

We recently completed the renovation on our home in Brooklyn, Wellington and sold it using the proceeds to plough back into the current build in Kapiti.
